I love the forest in the evening, there is a changing of the guard. All the nocturnal animals begin to rise in a buzz of activity and the rest begin to settle in for the dark night. Some creatures thrive on this time between night and day, they take advantage of the chaos of the evening to hunt.

Our setting souls burn brightest as the darkness crawls. Like the shifting sun at twilight, we are driven forward even knowing the cycle will all start anew. A purr in the throat — we vibrate a charge of pending shadow and delight. The fading light is a time to revel in. Eyes already adjust to the gloaming. We can see what stirs in the night and it fortifies our tenacity.
